HOW TO BUY

When ordering please state full name, address, city, state, zip code and telephone number. Please give a street address because most of our parts cannot be shipped to a box number. Prepayment is to be made by visa, master card, discover card, cashier check or money order. All parts within the online store and catalog are specified by using LH for driver side, and RH for passenger side. Prices and availability of parts are subject to change without notice. prices do not include shipping or delivery charges. Payments must be in u.s. funds, foreign funds are not acceptable.

Truck Freight:
Certain products must be delivered via truck freight due to size and weight. Whether the item will be installed immediately or not, you MUST inspect for suspected damage. If there is reason to believe the product may be damaged based on the condition of the box you will need to open the box and inspect the product (s) and note the damage on the delivery ticket before the driver leaves. failure to follow this procedure will result in loss of claim - see the damages section for further details. At this time we are not shipping direct to foreign countries, we can however ship to a address in the United States and Canada.

Ground Shipping:
Ups orders can be shipped to Canada, must be prepaid. When shipping to these places call 860-346-4989 for shipping charges. All shipping charges should be quoted at time of order although there may be times when we will have to call you back. All online orders will be sent standard ground shipping, call for other arrangements.

Damages:
Your shipment is insured by the trucking company that makes the delivery -NOT by auto body specialties. If you find your item (s) damaged, you MUST have the driver note damage on the delivery receipt. If the damage is severe, please refuse delivery and call our office immediately - we will take care of the claim and send you a replacement. If you find the item damaged after you have signed and accepted the item and the damage was not noted on the delivery receipt, ABS will not be able to help you with a claim. By signing the delivery receipt, you are certifying that you have received your item (s) in good condition. If you ship to someone other than yourself, you must let them know to inspect the item (s) for damage. If they sign the delivery receipt certifying that the item was in good condition when it arrived and you find any damage after the fact, ABS will not be able to help you with a claim.

Returns:
All returns must be authorized by phone (not email) before returning. Authorized returns must be sent prepaid and a 20 percent restock fee will be charged. No returns on special ordered parts or freight items. Returns without a return number will be refused by the shipping department! On any refused shipments, the freight charges will be billed to you or deducted as applied. No returns or refunds after 30 days on any items. all discounted, used or original parts are non returnable. Parts sold as a kit or sold as a pair must be returned as a kit or a pair only, we do not take back partial items from a kit or pair, if you're not sure about needing all parts in the kit then buy the part as each. All returns must have a copy of the original invoice enclosed. Cash refunds are mailed by check to the original billing address on file, allow 3-5 business days. NO CASH REFUNDS!

Due to the fragile nature of glass, in order to assure that you receive your product in tact, we have gone the extra mile in packaging. To cover the cost of the protective packaging the following charges are included in the actual shipping estimate.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL SHEET METAL!

Regarding Minor Imperfections in Panels: the sheet metal you receive may have scratches, dings , small dents and other minor imperfections which are considered normal sheet metal characteristics due to the nature of the product. these minor imperfections will be easily corrected during the filling, priming and sanding phase of your sheet metal installations. Auto Body Specialties inc. does not consider dings, scratches, minor dents or other imperfections on the sheet metal to be defects in the panel nor are they considered damaged. All sheet metal panels will require some sort of preparation and manipulation during installation. Every panel that we sell is inspected and then packaged to protect against damage that may occur during transit.


Test Fit All Panels Prior to Paint and Installation: Auto body Specialties recommends test fitting all sheet metal panels prior to final paint and installation. minor modifications including elongating mounting holes, adding additional shims, etc. are normal and may be necessary when installing sheet metal. It is important to note that hard driving conditions, like racing, can twist bodies and frames out of original tolerances. Poor body work from previous collisions can cause problems with the body structure that the panels are attached to. Some vehicles were manufactured with a unitized body (no frame) thus causing even the most minor accident to twist the body creating a situation that would cause sheet metal panel mis-alignments. Take into consideration that tolerances on classic vehicles are not nearly as exact as they are on modern vehicles. This is primarily due to the hand fitting of panels at the factory on most antique and classic cars as opposed to the robotics used in today's modern factories. All of these factors will affect the way your new reproduction sheet metal will install and fit on the car. There is really no such thing as a direct fit body panel when it comes to older vehicles.

For Best Results, Hire a Professional to Install the Panels
: Auto Body Specialties recommends that you hire a professional paint and body person that has the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to install the new panels on your vehicle. A professional body person will be able to prepare the panels for installation and repair any imperfections.
